Inspirational book web site indicates people
are searching the web for help at a critical time when trying
to quit drinking alcohol.
Since the web site "www.SimplyQuitDrinking.com"
was posted a just a few weeks ago, the site has been getting
visits from people that are in a life-threatening serious medical
condition. Phrases such as "alcohol withdrawal can't breathe"
are being typed into the web search engines and sending people
to the site.
"Alcohol withdrawal is very serious,
and people suffering from it need medical attention," says
site owner Karen Gregg Price. "Without getting information
and medical help, these people are at risk of suffering an alcohol
withdrawal seizure, like I did and almost died. As soon as I
noticed this kind of search traffic, I immediately posted information
to get medical help."
The site was created for the book “Simply
Quit Drinking: An Inspirational Journey From Near Death”,
by co-authors, Karen Gregg Price and Joseph Price. The book
is different from most because the co-author couple tell both
perspectives.
"I wrote the book because I wanted to
put a face with a real life story that is inspirational, rather
than be anonymous," says Price. There just isn't enough
positive information about alcoholics regaining their lives
and how they did it. I made a spiritual journey with God."
The book is an inspirational story with a
“no holds barred” attitude on how bad alcoholism
can be, and it also implicates society norms and laws for sustaining
alcoholism. It also talks about spiritual recovery as a means
to regain your life.
Normally it takes months for a web site to
actually make headway into the search engines, but Price's career
includes being a web site optimization specialist and Internet
marketing professional. Although it was a recently published
site, she has certainly put her skills to good use and is helping
people get critical information at a critical time.
The book is scheduled to be published this
